Meet the Team
Principal Strategist & Writer
Mercedes specializes in unearthing stories. She’s had an over 15-year career in media with Canada’s largest media networks, Bell Media (CTV) and Rogers Television, with her experience spanning Communications, Partnerships, Marketing and Community Investment.
Following her media career, Mercedes founded Black Coffee Communications Inc. in 2016. Since then, she and a roster of writers, strategists, and creatives have helped individual clients and corporate and not-for-profit organizations develop meaningful connections with their audiences through tailored communications and content strategy and written content.
Mercedes also exercises her editorial writing chops covering lifestyle, health and parenting, and reinvests in the industry as a board member and volunteer consultant with the Management Advisory Service, which provides pro bono consulting services for non-profit organizations.
